Traditional food- do we still need it?


Many people have lost the knowledge of how to grow and cook the best food we have in the world today. In old times we never used to hear that our grandparents died because of diseases cause by food. But nowadays this has become the song in our radios, blogs, television, press and everywhere in the hospitals. Food could be boiled and some herbs could be put in it to add taste but nowadays we are eating food cooked with a lot of chemicals in the name of improving the taste. For sure it is sweet in the mouth but very bitter when it gives birth to a disease. Traditional food is the cure to many problems we are having in life today.

Some days back there was no processed food and people could eat it just the way it is taken from the farm which is believed to add more energy to the body compared with the processed one. This could make people to work for hours in their farm, offices and in other areas plus make them more active since they have the energy. But today we have to actually take breakfast and in between we will still take some snacks to push us to the half day meal.



This is one area in our lives which we should not modernize. We need to eat healthy food and live a healthy life. The death rate due to diseases which are caused by food is very high and we can only minimize it if we embrace traditional food. We need to go back to eating build cassava, beans, corns, potatoes and such. The good thing is that though they are a bit expensive to get them from the market today they are cheap to cook. To those who still do farming it is a very nice business to do.

Am impressed by farmers who are coming up with the organic ways of farming even though our soil is already damaged by the fertilizers and chemicals that have been applied thereby killing its strength. With organic farming people will be able to grow chemical free food and sell it to others. This is one thing which all farmers should embrace. Let us stop eating inorganic food. This has gone too far in that also animals are being given food with immune booster and it is affecting their growth and losing the life length of them.
